Weekly portion of Simon and Caitlin

Since we are on vacation and lots of things are happening, there are lots of pictures. Add to that that there will be more from Christmas, and that I won’t have time to do anything with them as we’ll be driving back, this weeks portion is a day early.
1. A wildlife zoo on the way to grandma and grandpa. We also saw reindeer, but I guess they weren’t hungry.

Paci update

Last night the little girl woke up every two hours, screamed, and fell promptly asleep as soon as Stacey put a blanket on her. Today, no paci at nap, no problem. During the day Katie mentioned a few times that she has no paci’s anymore, and that she gave them to Santa  but she didn’t request them at bed time. Hopefully she’ll sleep all night. So far it seems very easy. Too easy really

Weekly portion of Simon and Caitlin

1. We asked Simon not to get sick till Thursday, as neither one of us could take off from work till then, and he held out till then! Unfortunately he got the same high fever virus that his sister had, fortunately he recovered in 24 hours.

2. This boy refused to take a jacket with him since he was wearing long sleeves. Of course we didn’t even make it to the entrance of the zoo as he told me that he was cold, and therefore received the sweater that I was wearing

10. Wasn’t that long ago that I was feeding her, and opening my mouth in the process. How times have changed

Today Katie agreed that it would be a good idea to give her pacifiers to Santa, in exchange for a gift of course. So we left all of the paci’s in a box under the Christmas tree, so that Santa’s elves can take them to all the babies that need them. Katie will be getting a purple piggy bank in exchange (to replace the one she broke). She was excited about this idea at first, but got slightly sullen when there wasn’t a paci in the car. However, to my surprise, she reiterated a few times that she is a big girl, and that the little babies are getting her paci’s from Santa and never asked for it at bedtime. The pig is under the tree, waiting for her. Hopefully this is the last of pacifiers for me.

Usually we take the bulk of the pictures around the weekend. On Friday though, ms. Katie decided to get sick, and sick she got. So Friday was spent with velcro baby that was miserable even on all the drugs, with fever that got up over 103, and all fun like that. Saturday was a bit better, but not enough for our scheduled babysitter to be able to come. She did feel better by Sunday, but with little sleep to go around, and still a rather sickly child, we just went shopping, stimulated the economy to the hilt, and that’s about it. So that’s my excuse for the pictures.

Me: No, I’m not happy with you, you’ve been sitting in front of this plate forever and not eating

Simon: “We’ll be at Grandma and Grandpa’s for Christmas. But, that’s okay. Santa can find us. We just have to send him a map”

Stacey: What do you think grandma and grandpa would like for Christmas
Simon: I think they would like a new car

I spent all evening yesterday creating a Christmas card, so the pictures will be a day late
